CBD Olie Open voor het bedrijfsleven: The Beauty Factory LLC – Springfield Business Journalnovember 11, 2019
The Beauty Factory LLC
The Beauty Factory LLC relocated Sept. 3 to 2100 W. Republic Road, Ste. 116, in Magers Crossing. The hair salon, owned by Serena Woods, previously operated at 3636 S. Campbell Ave. in Kickapoo Corners. Woods has worked as a hair stylist for over two decades, with 14 years in Springfield, and she said the business needed more space to add staff. She started as the lone stylist at The Beauty Factory but has added three stylists since the move and currently has seven employees. She invested $130,000 infilling the new 1,880-square-foot space, with work from BP Builders LLC. Woods said she signed a five-year lease for $2,800 per month with Magers Management Co. and has three additional five-year options. She’s designed The Beauty Factory as a green-concept salon, selling eco-friendly products, such as Oway organic cosmetics and Mate the Label clothing, and recycling salon waste, including hair.

Launching in Hollister earlier this year, cannabis hemp store Swin Dispensaries opened in Springfield on July 31 at 108 E. Park Central Square. First-time business owner Blake Bryan Swindall said he has an associate degree in biology from Ozarks Technical Community College and was formerly working at Pepper Palace in Branson for five years before starting his venture in March. The 1,600-square-foot Springfield store, which employs three, is in the former longtime home of Marilyn’s Fine Jewelry. He said startup costs were around $30,000. Swin Dispensaries sells federally legal cannabis hemp products for medicinal use, including edibles, gummies, tinctures, topical creams, CBD and vape oil and bath bombs, with prices starting around $10. Swindall is on a 30-month lease for an undisclosed rate with landlord Spiked Wireless KS LLC.
